The Houston Clothing Swap is an event that Raquel Sandate, Diana Cwick, and Sam Lopez host twice a year where attendees can bring and take unlimited amounts of clothes for only a small fee. In hosting these events, we are helping those who do not have the funds to rebuild their wardrobes, those who want to rehome their clothing in a responsible way, and providing a space where the community can “shop” sustainability, and ultimately cultivate a circular economy.

We kept 11,000 lbs of clothing out of landfills at our most recent swap!

That’s roughly 100 metric tons of CO2e of greenhouse gases, which is about the same as driving 254,656 miles in an average gasoline-powered passenger car.
